The customer’s vessel is equipped with two A-frames, each with two cylinders to move the individual legs of the frame. Our customer requested a solution to reduce the tension on the frame when the frame is moving.
To reduce the tension, both frames were equipped with equalizing valves. These valves reduce the speed of either cylinder when necessary. This keeps the frames straight and reduces tensions that would occur due to a difference in cylinder extension. The system is equipped with sensors. The feedback from these sensors is used to continuously correct the speed of the individual cylinders as necessary.
The system works automatically, using the feedback from the sensors installed in this installation. The user can customize the settings of the system, allowing the user to set the limits and to a point control how the system should react to a difference in cylinder extension.
Ever since 1991, we are developing and producing complete high-quality hydraulic systems and controls, whether these are standardized or custom made.
Our strength lies particularly in the development of hydraulic systems with intelligent control. These systems are being used in dredging, marine and offshore industry as well as in industrial applications.
