Following the steady expansion of this potential for more than two decades, the consistent utilisation of offshore wind energy is now gaining in importance.<\/p>\n<p>The technological requirements connected with this are enormous. Due to an ever increasing demand totally new concepts, suitable specialist equipment, and ever more powerful ship types for the erection of maritime platforms and power plants have to be developed that can withstand the extraordinary conditions experienced offshore.<\/p>\n<p>Especially the requirements for offshore-installation vessels are extremely high.
